Are you a strong, passionate, young maths student who is aiming to do well in VCE? Why wait? If your Maths Pathway data shows you to be ready, Jumpstart Maths is your ticket to earn an excellent study score before you even begin your final years at TC! By completing this subject, you will equip yourself with all the knowledge and skills taught in VCE General Maths. At 15 years old, you’ll be ready to excel in VCE General Maths and earn a top study score to go towards your ATAR, all before your final two years at TC! Now you can focus on VCE Maths Methods and/or VCE Specialist Maths knowing you have already started your VCE maths journey with a big win. Students who are ready for Jumpstart Maths will be recommended by their teacher when subject recommendations are released. If you are recommended to do this subject, rest assured that you are ready and able to be successful in Jumpstart Maths. If you are not recommended or would like to know more about how to get recommended, please speak to your maths teacher about what you need to do to become ready. Jumpstart Maths is not a VCE subject, it is a maths elective aimed at accelerating strong students, to be undertaken in addition to FLE Maths, MAP Numeracy or Pre VCE Maths Methods.

Jumpstart Maths is not a substitute for FLE Maths, Pre VCE General Maths, or VCE General Maths. We are very excited about providing this opportunity to our TC maths students and we can’t wait to see you succeed!
