Drama
semester 1 & 2
In Drama Elective you explore all the fun that drama has to offer. From making props, puppets, and costumes to learning how to operate spotlights, sound boards and that's not even to mention all the fun there is to be had standing in those spotlights as an actor.
Drama Elective is a student led subject like all elective subjects at TC and so the course is designed in consultation with you. For those of you reading this who do drama outside of school you can expect to play many familiar improvisation games, learn roles and play around but you will also have the opportunity to interact much more with directors and designers who want to make your staring moment just that little bit greater!
Each semester of Drama Elective includes an excursion or incursion and concludes in a paid performance for the school community which students spend the semester creating and developing their skills for.
This subject is for you if you:
Think acting is fun
Want to learn how to operate lighting and sound systems
Like making costumes and dressing up
Have creative visions but need friends to help you realise them
Enjoy working with others
are interested in building your confidence
Want to be a better public speaker
Loved performing arts in primary school or outside of school but haven't had a go for a while and want to get back in to it!
