Physical Education - FLE to Pre VCE

YEAR LONG OR SEMESTER 1 or 2

Subject Overview:

The aim of this subject is to connect theoretical knowledge to real-world sporting and athletic performance, while also exploring industry practices that can impact your own fitness and sport development.    

This course is primarily designed to prepare you for VCE Physical Education and is mostly theoretical. Practical activities are incorporated to enhance learning and demonstrate your application of knowledge.

If you are interested in anything to do with sport or wanting to know more about how our body systems work – then this subject is for you!

  • Warm-Up and Recovery techniques

  • Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation strategies

  • Coaching Principles

  • Developing a Training Program (training program principles)

  • Sports Medicine

  • Energy systems

  • Legal and Illegal Performance Enhancement strategies

Additional Component:

This program also includes an event management and coaching component, where you may be responsible for planning/delivering class, school-wide or community events.
